Biography

Francesco Rotondi is a founding and managing partner of LabLaw Studio Legale, licensed journalist and adjunct professor of labour law at Cattaneo University – LIUC Castellanza.

He specialises in labour law, industrial relations and assisting clients in the industrial and services sectors to manage human resources, corporate reorganisation plans and collective redundancies. Francesco also has specific expertise in managing labour law disputes deriving from extraordinary company transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

His activity is characterised by a broader vision of what labour law could be and the "individual work contract" highlighted his proposal for a new employment contract for the digital economy, the "Jobs App", as well as the presentation of a law draft to the Lombardy region about the guidelines of the union bargaining on the identification of the minimum wage on a regional basis.

Francesco is a founding partner of LabLaw, an Italian employment law firm specialised in labour law and industrial relations founded in 2006 in Milan and an adjunct professor of labour law at University Carlo Cattaneo. Based in the major cities of Italy – Milan, Padua, Pescara, Genoa, Naples, Bari and Rome (next in opening Bologna) – today LABLAW is the first employment law firm in Italy by number of lawyers and territorial distribution: more than 80 professionals advising both national and international clients on a wide range of employment law and industrial relations issues.

Francesco is also a founding member of L&E Global (www.leglobal.org), an international integrated alliance of premier labour and employment law boutiques, with more than 1,500 employment law experts in over 30 countries, spanning four continents (USA, South America, Europe, India and China).

Francesco is the author of publications and articles on labour law and on trade union issues and of essays and scientific publications, also on interdisciplinary topics, as well as director of the Licosia Edizioni series Il lavoro è cambiato. Cambiamo le regole (Work has changed. We change the rules), set up with the aim of developing an evolutionary view of labour law.

He carries out regular teaching activities and training and refresher courses for companies and is a frequent speaker at numerous specialist conferences on labour law for the most important Italian academic institutions. Key speaking roles include a recent collaboration with the Milan Polytechnic – Graduate School of Business (MIP), in the context of the MBA executive master's degree, as well as lecturing at the European University of Rome, SDA Bocconi, the University of Rome Tor Vergata (where he specifically lectures in labour law), the Italian Employment Lawyers Association (AGI) of Lombardy, AIDP, Paradigma, ISTUD and ISPER.
