Fernando Yllanes Martinez is the general director of the law firm Bufete Yllanes Ramos, founded in 1930 by the well-known labour and employment lawyer Mr Fernando Yllanes Ramos. For the past 40 years, Fernando has represented and counselled companies in all kinds of labour and employment conflicts, exclusively on the management side.
His area of expertise includes legal advice on labour and employment, litigation, CBA revisions, trade union relations and social security issues.
Fernando participated as an expert legal advisor on the USMCA negotiations and was appointed as a member of the negotiating team for the Labour Law Reform of 2019. He is working with the Ministry of Labour for the implementation of the labour reform and has developed a preventive system to help his clients adapt to these changes.
For the past 15 years, he has participated in the ILO’s annual conference in representation of the employers and was recently appointed as a titular member of ILO’s governing body.
Fernando is a labour consultant for the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), VP of the social security commission of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of Mexico (CONCAMIN) and advisor of the National Chamber of the Textile Industry.
