Biography

Professor Felix Dasser is a senior partner and former head of Homburger's arbitration and litigation team. His practice focuses on dispute resolution and avoidance, corporate and commercial law, and compliance investigations.

He has acted as counsel and arbitrator in more than 60 international commercial and investment arbitration cases. He is familiar with various arbitration rules and is a member of the board executive committee of the Swiss Arbitration Association.

He advises Swiss companies on international litigation strategies and on the impact of foreign regulatory proceedings and represents Swiss and foreign companies before Swiss courts and authorities.

His range of expertise covers, in particular, banking and insurance, M&A, commodity sales, distribution agreements, IT, engineering, arts, and international legal assistance. He also advises on white-collar crime and conducts regulatory and compliance investigations.

Felix Dasser studied law in Zurich, finishing summa cum laude with a doctoral thesis on the lex mercatoria, and at the Harvard Law School (LLM, 1990). Based on a post-doc thesis on contract law, he was appointed as Privatdozent (1999) and adjunct professor (2005) at the Law Faculty of the University of Zurich.

He lectures and publishes regularly in the fields of international commercial dispute resolution and contract law. He also regularly instructed as expert witness on Swiss law in arbitration and court proceedings.

He is fluent in German, English and French, and has a working knowledge of Italian.
