With over 30 years of experience in international arbitration Fabian von Schlabrendorff serves as of counsel with Pfitzner Legal, one of Germany’s leading dispute resolution boutiques His experience includes acting as chairperson, co-arbitrator, sole arbitrator and counsel in institutional, ad hoc and investor/state arbitrations, dealing with a wide range of subject matters – from industrial joint ventures to banking, post-M&A, construction, energy and natural resources.    

For years he headed the German and European litigation practice of Clifford Chance. He is now an active member of the advisory board of the German Institution of Arbitration. From 1997 to 2009 and 2015 to 2018 he served as a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. He is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and the ICC German national committee.
Fabian von Schlabrendorff formerly co-edited the German Arbitration Journal and is a contributor to various publications, including Arbitration in Germany (2014; edited by Böckstiegel et al; co-authored with Anke Sessler); “Legal Privilege and  Confidentiality” in Privilege and Confidentiality: An International Handbook (2006; co-authored with Audley Sheppard); and the Praxishandbuch Internationale Schiedsverfahren (2018; edited by Salger/Trittmann).
