Elizabeth is a specialist commercial litigator specialising in high-value, complex claims and asset recovery. Elizabeth has particular experience in civil fraud, asset tracing, freezing orders and arbitration. She achieves pragmatic, cost-effective solutions for clients, even in the most complex and challenging cases.
Her recent work includes obtaining judgment for international investors in a fraudulent real estate development scheme, after obtaining freezing orders against 14 defendants including alleged nominees of the bankrupt fraudster. Elizabeth currently represents two defendants in a $2 billion claim relating to alleged corruption involving African mining rights.
Elizabeth is recommended in leading legal directories in the area of UK commercial fraud litigation, described as a ‘steely and determined litigator’ who is ‘exceptionally bright and has fantastic legal knowledge’.
Elizabeth speaks at conferences on fraud and litigation issues. She is on the executive committee of the European lawyers’ association VOCAL (Victims of Crime Association of Lawyers) and is a member of the Commercial Fraud Law Association and American Women Lawyers in London.
Elizabeth graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with high honors and then studied at the College of Law, London. She trained and practiced at an international law firm in London before joining PCB Byrne LLP.
