He has conducted the victory of an emblematic dispute of PIS/COFINS input credit before the Superior Court of Justice that became a reference leading case.
Mr Pugliese is a former judge of the Superior Chamber of the Tax Court of São Paulo and has a solid academic background. He is a professor of the tax law specialization course at School of Law of Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo. He also teaches at the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies and the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. His education includes a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo; specialization in tax law at the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies and the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law; specialization in tax law at Salamanca University in Spain; and a Master of Laws degree in tax law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. He has published several articles on tax law in specialized journals.
