Dong-Pyo Hong is an expert adviser at Lee & Ko. Dr Hong has a BA from Seoul National University and a PhD in economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Before joining Lee & Ko, Dr Hong worked as a research fellow at the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI), a government research organisation specialised in the ICT sector; and as an expert adviser at Kim & Chang.
As a highly respected expert in the field of law and economics, Dr Hong has been involved in many high-profile antitrust cases as well as damage litigations in sectors such as ICT, IPR, finance, retail, transportation, construction, etc. Dr Hong also analyses the economic impact of regulations in many industries. In addition to his expert advisory work at Lee & Ko, Dr Hong has served on the advisory council for the Korea Fair Trade Commission, and is a member of the public corporation evaluation committee at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
