Donata von Enzberg is a partner in Taylor Wessing’s disputes and investigations team in Hamburg. She advises and represents companies in complex national and international arbitration proceedings as well as in disputes before German courts. Donata von Enzberg has successfully represented clients in a number of arbitration proceedings, inter alia, under the rules of ICC, DIS, LCIA, UNCITRAL and CEAC, as well as in ad-hoc proceedings at multiple seats and under a variety of governing laws. She also frequently sits as arbitrator.
The focus of her practice is in the area of national and international law relating to sales, trade and distribution. Moreover, she advises on questions relating to product liability and product safety. She has particular expertise in matters involving complex technical issues across a range of industry sectors such as renewable energy, construction and automotive. With a strong interest in innovative technological products, she also contributes to the development of the legal framework – for example, as a founding member of the VDI expert committee on legal aspects of additive manufacturing, where she focuses on the legal challenges arising as a result of 3D printing technology.
Donata von Enzberg is a member of several arbitration associations and has been the co-chair of the DIS40 (initiative of young arbitrators of the German Arbitration Institute) North for three years until the end of 2019. She is now chair of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) North. She regularly speaks on topical issues related to arbitration as well as product liability and product safety on different occasions worldwide.
