Dirk Stolz is a partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, a major independent law firm with more than 350 lawyers in Berlin, Chemnitz, Cologne, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Brussels and Zurich.
Dirk focuses on IT, data protection and telecommunications law. He regularly advises at all stages of complex IT projects from private tender to implementation as well as on outsourcing projects, often in an international environment.
Dirk advises on all aspects of data protection law, may it be in regard to international data transfers with multi-country data flows or work for online based start ups. A strong focus of Dirk’s current work is the design and implementation of data protection, security and general compliance management systems for domestic companies as well as international corporations with the need of international data transfers.
Dirk has been advising communications operators (fix, cable, satellite, mobile) since the liberalisation of the German telecommunications sector, advising on a wide range of classic regulatory matters in regard to mobile content distribution and mobile payment, mainly for foreign-owned clients.
Recent projects include advising on several complex R&D co-operations involving partners on several continents for e-mobility solutions, or the development of 3D printers for industrial use. Likewise, he recently advised on the design and implementation of a comprehensive compliance management system for a multi-national corporation’s German operation and several data centre outsourcing projects.
