David Oser is a partner in Homburger’s corporate/M&A team. He graduated from the University of Basel, where he also received his PhD. David Oser holds an LLM degree from Columbia Law School, and was admitted to the bar in Switzerland and New York in 1998 and 2001, respectively. Prior to joining Homburger he practised at a New York law firm.
David Oser’s practice focuses on public and private M&A transactions, in particular cross-border transactions, as well as capital markets and corporate governance.
Recent assignments include advising Schroders plc in its 70 per cent acquisition of BlueOrchard Ltd (2019); advising Smith & Nephew in its acquisition of Atracsys (2019); advising Transocean Ltd in its acquisition of Ocean Rig (2018); advising WISeKey International Holding Ltd in the sale of its QuoVadis PKI business to DigiCert (2018); advising Transocean Ltd in its public tender offer for all shares of Songa Offshore SE (2017); advising ChemChina in its $43 billion public tender offer for Syngenta (2016); advising Axel Springer and Ringier in creating a new joint venture company (2015); advising SIX Group on its sale of its equity interest in STOXX to Deutsche Börse (2015); and advising Holcim in its merger with Lafarge (2014).
