David M Golden chairs Torkin Manes’ health care institutions group and co-chairs its health law group. David’s practice focuses on health law, professional liability, and commercial litigation. He regularly appears before all levels of court, boards, commissions and administrative tribunals that regulate the health care industry and the professions.
He also routinely represents clients in commercial disputes, often with a health care component, that are resolved at trial or through mediation/arbitration. In 2018/2019, he participated as a counsel before the Gillese Public Inquiry into Long-Term Care in Ontario.
David is also counsel to the Ontario Long Term Care Association and has acted over the years for many of the leaders in Canada’s seniors housing and care sectors.
David has lectured extensively on health law issues to both lawyers and health care professionals and regularly publishes articles on health law topics. He is frequently invited to participate as a conference speaker. He is also a past chair of the Canadian Bar Association Health Law Sections both on a provincial and a national level.
