Claire Dawson is a partner at CC Solicitors, a market-leading specialist employment and partnership law firm based in Dublin. Claire acts for a wide range of employers, directors, senior executives and professionals providing clear, strategic and commercial advice on all aspects of the employment relationship.
Claire has over 16 years’ experience as a specialist employment lawyer and is dual-qualified in Ireland and England and Wales. Recognised as a leading employment lawyer in London, she was national head of practice of a large employment law department prior to relocating back to Dublin. Claire is an experienced litigator having represented clients in complex discrimination and whistleblowing cases as well as High Court litigation. She is an accredited advocate with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and Law Society of Northern Ireland. Claire frequently advises international clients and is a member of Innangard, a non-exclusive international employment law network. She is a member of the Employment Law Association of Ireland, the Employment Lawyers Association (UK), the American Bar Association (labour and employment law section), the International Forum of Senior Executive Advisors and the Dublin Chamber. Claire is a regular speaker for ELA and the ABA and frequently writes and comments on employment law issues in the media.
Claire has a particular interest in gender equality, the gender pay gap and issues affecting women at work. She has conducted detailed training on investigations of harassment and discrimination allegations in the workplace.
Claire received her law degree (BCL International) from University College Dublin and her LLM from the University of London (SOAS).
