Christoph Schreuer is of counsel at zeiler.partners and a well-known expert for investment protection and public international law. He has written expert opinions in many investment cases and has served as arbitrator in ICSID and UNCITRAL cases. Currently, he is working as an independent expert and arbitrator in investment cases.
He is a graduate of the Universities of Vienna (Dr iur 1966), Cambridge (LLM 1970) and Yale (JSD 1979). During his academic career, he was an assistant professor at the University of Graz, as well as professor of law at the Universities of Salzburg, the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Vienna.
During his long career, Christoph has authored numerous articles and books. He regularly holds lectures and is a member of – inter alia – the ICSID Panel of Conciliators and Arbitrators. He is moreover a member of numerous international editorial boards. He is the author of The ICSID Convention: A Commentary (2001; second edition, 2009).
