Biography

Cécile Berger Meyer leads the real estate practice group of Lenz & Staehelin in Geneva. She advises both private and institutional clients in the field of real estate law, and in respect of both civil matters (purchases, sales, structuring and financing) and administrative law matters (planning, construction licences, restrictions on acquisitions). Cécile Berger Meyer is also a judge with the Geneva Lease Court (landlord side), is vice chair of the SVIT Romandie and is on the committees of several other professional organisations active in the real estate sector.

Cécile Berger Meyer graduated from the University of Fribourg (2000) and obtained an LLM from University of Chicago Law School (2006). She went on to acquire a diploma as a certified specialist (SBA) in construction and real estate law (2010). Following her admission to the Geneva Bar in 2004, she joined Lenz & Staehelin, where she has been a partner since 2013. She speaks French, English, German and Italian.

Cécile Berger Meyer is a member of the Geneva Bar Association (OdA), the Swiss Bar Association (SAV), the International Association of Lawyers (UIA), the Swiss Advocates' Chamber of Certified Specialists, the SBA Construction and Real Estate Law (board member) and the CVI (board member).
