Carolina Nardelia Ortiz Espinoza joined DLL Abogados Ecuador in 2019. A strategic partnership to establish the top Ecuador law firm with a litigation division with experience on aviation contentions. Carolina has a board expertise on cross-border matters with extraordinary results as recognized by clients. Furthermore, Carolina provides full advice to national and international airlines and service providers on the aviation and aerospace industry. She leads issues related to regulation, operations, air law, civil aviation agreements, national and international disputes, between others.
Carolina is part of Global teams of emergency response processes and crisis managements both during accidents and incidents that occur in the aviation industry. She is a pioneer in the implementation of new operational mechanisms, which result in efficiency for the airlines and the services providers. In her practice she manages international affairs on aviation industry that have impact in Ecuador or vice versa. She has participated in negotiations of Air Service Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding. Carolina actively collaborates in the preparation, debates and analysis of the different laws and regulations of the aviation industry in Ecuador.
Carolina is publicly recognized for her commitment towards women empowerment and gender equality in aviation. She is an international speaker and has been considered as one of the most powerful women for her influence in Ecuador and Latin America. She founded the EMLA conference “Women Aviation Leaders Forum”, she has contributed to IATA publication and to the Air Navigator.
