Bernd Hauck is a partner and leads the construction and real estate practice group of Kellerhals Carrard. He specialises in total contractor and general contractor contracts, architect and consulting engineer service contracts and public procurement (especially in the construction sector). Bernd Hauck’s main clients are nationally and internationally operating general contractors, total contractors, consulting engineers with overall planning responsibility and institutional construction principals such as real estate funds and pension funds. Another focus is plant engineering and plant construction contracts. Bernd Hauck gives overall advice in these fields of law, drafts and reviews the respective contracts and represents his clients in construction disputes (before state courts or arbitral tribunals). One of Bernd Hauck’s focuses are cross-border projects where he benefits from his double qualification in Swiss and German law (registered to the bar in both countries). Furthermore, Bernd Hauck is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and seminars (eg, AIJA events and seminars of the Swiss Association of Consulting Engineers and the German Chambers of Craft).
Bernd Hauck graduated from the Tübingen University (2002) and Basel University (Dr iur 2007). He passed the tests for the admission to the bar in Germany (2004) and Switzerland (2007). He was registered at the bar in both countries in 2007, and in the same year joined the firm that later became Kellerhals Carrard. Since 2005 Bernd Hauck has served as an assistant lecturer at the law faculty of the University of Basel.
