Biography
Astrid Johnsson is a partner of the intellectual property law firm Brann. She has been practising in the IP field since 1987. She graduated with a master’s of law degree from the University of Stockholm in 1984. Between 1984 and 1987, she held a position as a junior judge at a district court. Between 1987 and 1989 she was a lawyer at the patent section of the Royal Swedish Defence Forces. In 1989, she joined Brann, and became a partner in 1991. Astrid is specialised within the areas of trademarks, copyright, marketing law, contentious matters and in drafting agreements. Astrid works with larger multinational clients, providing advice on all aspects of prosecution, maintenance and enforcement, including the management of larger international trademark portfolios. Astrid has been involved in various branding projects covering, among others, trademark structuring and strategies and name creations. Her client’s businesses include industries such as mining, construction and fluid technology. She is an authorised representative before EUIPO.
