Antoinette Pincott is singled out by international peers for her impressive practice as an expert witness, particularly when it comes to damages disputes.
Toni Pincott is a managing director in NERA’s international arbitration practice. Ms Pincott is a highly experienced testifying expert witness, having acted in over 350 complex commercial cases as an expert witness or advisor since 1988, and given evidence on many occasions, including in the context of witness conferencing.
Ms Pincott’s dispute and international arbitration experience includes bilateral investment treaty disputes, and international joint venture and sale and purchase agreement disputes, as well as corruption and competition investigations. Her work encompasses business and share valuations, losses arising from breach of contract and warranty, loss-of-profit and business-interruption claims and post-acquisition disputes, as well as insurance and negligence claims. Her sector experience includes retail, technology, pharmaceutical, real estate, energy, water, distribution, and transportation. Her appointments have been made under various institutional forums, including ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, as well as in private arbitration, while her cases have covered disputes in the United Kingdom, Africa, Europe, Russia, Eastern Europe, the Far East and North America.
Ms Pincott’s role has also included acting as a single joint expert appointed under the President’s Appointment Scheme of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and as an assessor on complex insurance disputes.
A CEDR qualified mediator, she has acted as lead mediator in 11 commercial disputes, and in several as assistant mediator and assistant arbitrator.
She is a non-practising barrister, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Academy of Experts and the Expert Witness Institute.
