Andrew Kasapis is a senior director in the disputes and investigations practice in the London office of Duff & Phelps. He has specialised in credit derivatives; FX derivatives trading and sales; and, recently, oil, gas, gold, silver and copper trading. He has broad experience in both advising financial institutions on trading and as an expert witness.
Based in London, Andrew has over 30 years of experience in trading and selling derivatives in FX and credit asset classes.
Andrew has supplied market, trading and product knowledge for Irish, Jersey, BVI, UK, Singapore, Cayman and US law firms. He has been involved in high profile liquidations like Millennium, Parkcentral, MF Global and IBRC (Anglo Irish Bank) where he has managed the close out of large FX swap, sovereign bond and commodity oil, gas, copper, gold positions.
Andrew joined Duff & Phelps in June 2017. Prior to this, Andrew has worked for Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, National Australia Bank Europe, Rabo Bank, Soc Gen, Nat West Markets (RBS) and KPMG, among others.
Andrew has worked for KPMG Advisory Financial Risk Management, KPMG Restructuring UK and Bermuda and KPMG Ireland. He worked as a commodity derivatives product and subject matter expert and he assisted on the liquidation of financial entities. He has also recently worked as a skilled person in the alleged misselling of interest rate derivatives hedges by several UK banks to small investors.
Andrew is experienced in areas such as restructuring, valuation, relative value and forensic complex fixed income and commodity derivatives portfolio analysis.
