Anders Thylin is a partner with Lindskog Malmström Advokatbyrå in Stockholm, Sweden. His experience entails larger law firms; a Big Four accounting firm; his own boutique firm; and serving as a judge on district and appellate courts. Anders has been working on Swedish and international franchise, agency and distribution matters since 1999. He combines his experience as a judge with 20 years’ experience advising franchise clients. He provides in-depth knowledge on strategic and operational matters to domestic and international franchisors. He regularly structures franchise networks in Sweden, and provides advice on international expansion for domestic franchisors. He also serves as counsel on litigation and arbitration matters and is appointed arbitrator in franchise-related disputes.
Anders has contributed to Getting the Deal Through: Franchise and is one of the authors of the Swedish section of the American Bar Association’s International Franchise Sales Laws. He has been published in the International Bar Association’s Newsletter International Franchising.
Anders is a member of the International Bar Association’s committee on international franchising and the American Bar Association’s forum on franchising; he is also appointed by the International Distribution Institute as Swedish expert on franchising. He has experience from all sectors within the franchise industry including F&B, hospitality, retail, domestic and professional services, health, security, travel, real estate, construction and more.
Anders’ recent matters comprise successfully representing a major franchisor in the service industry in its arbitration proceedings against a franchisee and restructuring of a major franchise network in the service industry. He has been recognised by Who’s Who Legal for several years and recently also as a thought leader.
