Top trademark lawyers David Kelly and Linda McLeod are among the founders of Kelly IP in Washington, DC.
They formerly practised at Finnegan Henderson Farabow Garrett & Dunner.
Kelly is highly recognised for representing clients in trademark, copyright and unfair competition issues. His career spans almost 30 years focusing on disputes, litigation and strategic counselling.
Kelly served as chair of Finnegan’s trademark and copyright practice group for most of his 26 years as a partner at the firm.
McLeod is a former administrative trademark judge of the US Patent and Trademark Office’s trademark trial and appeal board, where she issued hundreds of decisions in opposition and cancellation proceedings. She also gained extensive trademark prosecution experience as an examining attorney at the US patent and trademark office.
She practised at Finnegan for over 10 years.
