Gaming supply company Shuffle Master has hired Katie Lever as executive vice president and general counsel.
She takes over from Dawn Hinman who will assume the position of assistant general counsel.
Based in Las Vegas, Lever brings over 10 years of gaming law experience stemming from previous roles including executive vice president and general counsel of Global Cash Access (GCA). In that role, Lever was responsible for all legal and regulatory matters related to GCA’s operations, including intellectual property protection, securities, risk management and compliance.
Prior to joining GCA, Lever was a partner at the Las Vegas law firm Schreck Brignone (now Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck) where she practised transactional, commercial and corporate law for major gaming operators.
“Katie understands our industry and the unique legal needs of the current international gaming environment,” said Shuffle Master’s chief executive officer, Gavin Isaacs. “We think Katie’s impressive background and expertise will be a perfect complement to our team, and we look forward to her contributions as our general counsel.”
