Robert Khuzami leaves Deutsche Bank to join major fund protection agency

Deutsche Bank will be hiring a new general counsel for the Americas following the departure of Robert Khuzami who has been appointed director of the division of enforcement for the US Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC.
Khuzami held the position of general counsel at Deutsche since January 2004. He supervised more than 100 lawyers supporting the bank's businesses and he also acted as global head of litigation and regulatory investigations for the bank.
Prior to joining the Deutsche Bank, Khuzami was a federal prosecutor for 11 years with the United States attorney's office for the southern district of New York.
