Patent litigator Richard Willoughby has joined the London office of international law firm Rouse Legal.
As a partner in the patent litigation practice, Willoughby joins a team that has represented many of the world’s leading rights holders such as BP, Diageo, GSK, Merck & Co, Nokia, Orange, Shell, Sony Ericsson and UCB Pharma SA.
Commenting on his new position Willoughby said: “I am delighted to be joining Rouse and, in particular, Diana Sternfeld and the impressive patent litigation practice that she has developed in the UK.” He continues, “I have admired Rouse and its unique Asian presence for many years and am looking forward to helping them build their patent practice around the world.”
Willoughby, who joins from Howrey LLP, is highly experienced in dispute resolution across all areas of IP, with cases in the Patents County Court, High Court, Court of Appeal, Court of Session (Edinburgh) and European Patent Office.
He is named in The International Who’s Who of Trademarks Lawyers.
