Richard Brean is named new GC of industrial labour union

The United Steelworkers union has named Richard Brean as its new general counsel.
He succeeds Paul Whitehead, who left to become a professor at Penn State University after 28 years at the firm.
Brean will be responsible for all the legal affairs for the labour movement and oversee the work of outside law firms.
Headquarted in Pittsborough, Pensylvania, United Steelworkers is the largest industrial labour union in North America. It claims to have over 1.2 million active and retired members.
