Pfizer appoints new general counsel

Amy Schulman has joined pharmaceutical company Pfizer to serve as its senior vice president and general counsel.
Schulman joins from DLA Piper, where she was a partner and co-leader of the firm's mass tort and class action practice. In her new role, she will be responsible for leading Pfizer's legal division and will serve on the company's executive leadership team. She will report directly to chairman and chief executive officer Jeffrey Kindler.
Founded in 1849 and headquartered in New York, Pfizer is the world's largest research-based pharmaceutical company with approximately 85,000 employees in more than 90 countries.
