Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP has launched an office in Toronto with the hire of Christopher Cummings, who joins from Shearman & Sterling LLP.
Cummings represents Canada-based clients and multinationals doing business in Canada.
He has extensive experience working across a broad range of public and private transactions for investment banks and companies in a number of industries, including oil and gas, mining, insurance, transportation, computer hardware and software development and telecommunications.
In his new position as a partner in the corporate department and a member of the firm’s capital markets and securities and Canadian practice groups, Cummings will advise clients on corporate governance and other general corporate matters.
