Warner Bros Entertainment has named Mark Easton as deputy general counsel based in Burbank, California.
He joins from O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office and a member of the mergers and acquisitions practice.
Easton will work closely with executive vice president and general counsel John Rogovin, supervising the legal support for the business transactions of the company on a global basis and assisting the corporate staff to identify long-term growth strategies and business plans for Warner Bros.
His previous experience includes advising public and private corporations on M&A, capital markets, corporate governance and securities law matters, in a range of industries, including entertainment, sports, and telecommunications.
“Mark is one of the preeminent transactional lawyers in the country with broad legal experience and knowledge of our businesses,” said Rogovin. “His seasoned skill set and tactical approach will make him a terrific deputy general counsel and a great addition to our team.”
“As one of our best and brightest, we are delighted that Mark is joining our good client Warner Bros,” said chair of O’Melveny & Myers Arthur Culvahouse Jr. “Mark’s sharp intellect and keen sense of business strategy make him the perfect choice for this highly sought after position at this prestigious company.”
