Leading tax lawyer Nikolaj Bjørnholm, together with his colleagues Mikkel Baaring Lerche and Peter Lyck have departed from Bech-Bruun to join Hannes Snellman's Copenhagen office, which opened on 1 September 2010.
The new team will help implement Hannes Snellman’s pan-Nordic strategy.
Bjørnholm concentrates on tax with a particular focus on cross border transactions for international and domestic industrial and private equity clients and is also an expert on structured products and tax controversy.
He has substantial litigation experience acting before the Danish Supreme Court and has provided structured finance expertise to clients such as Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Santander and Nordea.
“The fact that Mikkel Baaring Lerche and Nikolaj Bjørnholm will be joining the Hannes Snellman partnership provides a very strong basis for growth,” says Philip Risbjørn, managing partner in Copenhagen.
Hannes Snellman’s plan in Copenhagen is to grow significantly within M&A/corporate, capital markets, banking and finance and to cover areas such as tax, competition, IPR & IT and employment.
Bjørnholm is listed in The International Who’s Who of Corporate Tax Lawyers.
