Middle-Eastern national airline hires new GC

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways, has hired Jim Callaghan as its general counsel and executive vice president of legal.
He will be based at Etihad's headquarters in Abu Dhabi reporting directly to the airline's chief executive, James Hogan.
Callaghan joins from Ryanair in Dublin where he initially held the post of legal director and regulatory affairs before becoming company secretary in 2003.
He has 17 years of legal experience having also worked for Linklaters LLP, Balzarini Carey & Watson and Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC.
