David Alberts has left newly formed Hogan Lovells to join the New York office of Mayer Brown LLP.
His appointment coincides with Mayer Brown’s strategic decision to focus on the insurance and reinsurance industry and expand the firm’s practice in the insurance M&A, corporate finance and insurance-capital markets.
Alberts focuses on insurance and reinsurance matters and his corporate and regulatory practice includes a wide range of transactional, counselling and advisory services to numerous financial institutions.
Commenting on his appointment, Alberts says: “The firm’s strong track record in M&A and corporate finance, along with its deep bench strength in the insurance field, as well as its global strength in Europe, Asia and Latin America, made it an ideal choice for me.
“I look forward to working with the firm’s attorneys in New York and around the world to contribute to the continued growth of the insurance transactional practice,” he says.
Alberts features in The International Who’s Who of Insurance & Reinsurance Lawyers.
