Leading international lawyer Hans Bagner has joined the Stockholm office of MAQS as of counsel.
He arrives from boutique firm Frank Advokatbyrå where he served for two years as of counsel contributing to the expansion of the firm’s international arbitration practice. Prior to that he worked at Swedish law firm Vinge where he was a founding partner amongst other senior positions.
Commenting on his new firm, Bagner said he was “inspired” by MAQS’ established presence in Sweden and the Nordic region. “I hope to contribute to the development of MAQS’ dispute resolution practice, while I shall primarily focus on work as arbitrator in international cases.”
Bagner has been active in international arbitration for over 30 years acting in ad hoc and institutional proceedings, particularly those under the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
Torbjörn Lindmark, managing partner in Stockholm said that Bagner is “one of Sweden’s foremost arbitration specialists” and his arrival will aid the firm’s development. “Hans will be an immense addition to our dispute resolution practice. He is a renowned Swedish lawyer with a global network, and with him we can develop and transform our international presence.”
Bagner is listed in The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration.
