Schilling Zutt & Anschutz, one of Germany’s leading law firms, will expand its presence in the capital by launching a Frankfurt office in the summer.
Joining the Frankfurt office as part of the expansion is corporate tax lawyer Hans-Georg Berg and his team.
Currently based in the Mannheim office, Berg focuses on the taxation of companies, advising longstanding clients and acting in transactional matters (including tax audits and disputes before tax courts). Berg recently joined the firm from Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP.
Commenting on the move, Schilling Zutt & Anschutz board members and partners, Georg Jaeger and Jochem Reichert said, “We are particularly glad to have won Dr. Berg, one of the most distinguished German tax law experts as a partner in our firm. Due to his comprehensive knowledge and experience in tax matters, especially interfaced with general private and corporate law, Hans-Georg Berg is the ideal addition to our strong corporate and private clients practices.”
Schilling Zutt & Anschütz launched its Mannheim office in May 2008 after its departure from the US law firm Shearman & Sterling LLP.
Berg features in The International Who’s Who of Corporate Tax Lawyers.
