US-based Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP and UK-based Denton Wilde Sapte LLP have merged.
The new firm, SNR Denton LLP, will have 1,400 lawyers and professionals in 18 countries in the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The new firm ranks among the top 25 law firms in the world and will focus on eight key sectors, including financial institutions and funds, energy, transport and infrastructure, insurance, real estate, retail and hotels, technology, media & telecommunications, health and life sciences, manufacturing and government.
SNR Denton will be led by Elliott Portnoy, the former chairman of Sonnenschein and DWS’s former chief executive Howard Morris as co-CEO’s, with Joseph Andrew of Sonnenschein and Martin Kitchen of DWS serving as co-chairmen.
