Steven Della Rocca has been named the new managing director and general counsel of private equity firm Vestar Capital Partners in New York, replacing Jack Feder who will be retiring after 20 years with the company.
Della Rocca joins from Latham & Watkins where he served for over 30 years in a variety of senior positions, including chairman of the corporate department in the New York office and as a member of the firm’s executive committee.
He is highly experienced in complex corporate governance and finance matters and has represented issuers and underwriters in public and private high yield and equity offerings in a broad range of industries.
In his new role, Della Rocca will focus on all aspects of corporate and transactional law as well as fund partnership matters.
“Vestar’s disciplined investment philosophy, coupled with its strategy of partnering with management to achieve sustainable, long-term growth, has proven to be a winning formula,” Della Rocca commented. “I am very excited to be part of the team of exceptional people at Vestar who believe good partnership is good business and the best way to build value.”
Della Rocca will join Vestar by mid-summer.
