Lanny Breuer appointed to key role in the DoJ

President Barack Obama has announced the appointment of Lanny Breuer as assistant attorney general for the criminal division of the US Department of Justice.
Breuer comes from the Washington, DC, office of Covington & Burling LLP where he led the firm's white-collar defence and investigations practice.
Breuer has previously worked for a former US president, serving for two years as special counsel to President Clinton and representing the president and the White House staff in the impeachment hearings and trial and numerous congressional and oversight investigations.
He previously featured in The International Who's Who of Business Crime Lawyers.
