King & Spalding LLP has welcomed Jennifer Josefson as a partner in its newly formed office in Moscow.
She joins from White & Case LLP where she headed up the oil and gas practice for the CEE and CIS regions.
The new Moscow office is launched with its initial hiring of five lawyers from Hogan Lovells and White & Case.
Josefson concentrates on Russian and international transactions in the energy and natural resources sector. She advises on M&A and joint venture arrangements as well as service agreements and international arbitration in the subsoil and energy sectors.
Most recently she advised an oil company on the establishment of a gas-to-power joint venture for the construction of a new power unit in West Siberia. Also in West Siberia she advised a leading international exploration and production company on an asset swap with energy company Gazprom.
Josefson describes being part of the new office as “a great new adventure” and says that she is now looking forward to taking on “the more global aspects of energy work.”
Hermann Schmitt, executive partner of White & Case’s Moscow office, said in a statement: “We wish Jennifer all the best.”
Josefson is featured in The International Who’s Who of Oil & Gas Lawyers.
