Gregory Porter is named new general counsel of Welch Allyn

Welch Allyn, a manufacturer of medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices, has appointed Gregory Porter as senior vice president and general counsel.
He will be responsible for overseeing the legal and government affairs groups and will also act as an adviser to senior management and serve as secretary to the board of directors.
Porter co-founded health-care information company Verispan and most recently served as CEO and board vice chairman to the company.
