Gilbert + Tobin has established a new office in Perth with the recruitment of partners of Blakiston & Crabb.
Michael Blakiston and a team of three lawyers will all be part of Gilbert + Tobin’s new energy and resources group while Marcello Cardaci will join the corporate advisory group.
Founded in 1984, Blakiston & Crabb was one of Perth’s leading specialist resources firms before becoming part of Gilbert + Tobin as of July 2011.
Blakiston, who specialises in mining and resources law, advises internationally in relation to joint ventures and strategic alliances, development arrangements and project commercialisation. He also provides corporate advice in relation to initial public offerings, M&A, project finance and construction.
Cardaci advises internationally on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including public and private equity finance, due diligence, M&A, establishment of mining and petroleum projects and joint ventures.
G+T managing partner Danny Gilbert said, “The establishment by Gilbert + Tobin of a Perth office will strengthen our capacity to provide services of the highest quality to the energy and resources market in Australia and internationally. These are extremely exciting times as we continue to develop our practice and provide first class advice and support to corporate Australia.”
