Capital markets expert Peter Darrow has joined the corporate and finance practice of DLA Piper in New York leaving his position as co-head of the Latin America practice at Mayer Brown LLP.
After 25 years at the international firm, Darrow says, “I have had the pleasure of building the Latin America practice and the banking group at Mayer Brown, but you get to points in life where you need new challenges. This is a business-building opportunity.”
Darrow represents issuers, underwriters and placement agents in cross-border securities offerings and structured finance transactions in emerging markets. He also advises SEC-registered companies in complying with their disclosure obligations and counsels US hedge funds in their private equity investments and joint ventures.
“DLA Piper’s global and domestic reach provide me with the best possible platform to help expand the firm’s corporate and finance [group] in New York and in key markets in Latin America,” said Darrow. “I am excited by the opportunity to help build the finance practice.”
He appears in The International Who’s Who of Capital Markets Lawyers.
