David Fox moves to Kirkland & Ellis

Leading M&A lawyer David Fox has joined the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
He joins from Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP where he served for over 20 years and was also a member of the firm's policy committee as well as the head of the corporate group.
Fox focuses on complex mergers and acquisitions and advises major companies on domestic and international transactions as well as counselling senior management in crisis situations and general governance matters. Some of his most notable cases include representing BHP Billiton in its $150 billion offer to acquire mining company Rio Tinto and representing the board of directors of Toys ‘R' Us in its $6.6 billion acquisition by an investment group led by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, Bain Capital Partners LLC and Vornado Realty Trust.
