Bank of America appoints new general counsel

Brian Moynihan is the new general counsel for the Bank of America Corporation based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He succeeds Timothy Mayopoulos.
Moynihan, who is also president of global corporate and investment banking department, is a member of the bank's executive management team and will continue to report to chairman and chief executive officer Ken Lewis.
He joined Bank of America in 2004 as president of the global wealth and investment management unit following Bank of America's acquisition of FleetBoston, where he originally served as deputy general counsel.
