Arnold & Porter LLP has bolstered its patent litigation team in London with the recruitment of a team of four lawyers led by IP specialist David Perkins.
The team, who arrive from Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP, are highly experienced in electrical, pharmaceutical and medical device patent litigation in the United Kingdom and Europe.
With 40 years of experience, Perkins has handled oppositions and appeals before the European Patent office in Munich and references to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
A former member of the UK government’s Intellectual Property Advisory Committee, a founding member of the Intellectual Property Lawyers Organization and a World Intellectual Property Organization arbitrator, Perkins’s practice involves multi- jurisdictional patent litigation, as well as trademark and antitrust issues. He also acts as counsel and arbitrator in numerous arbitrations involving intellectual property rights.
Commenting on his move, Perkins says:
“Arnold & Porter has a dynamic and successful IP practice in the London office…I am impressed by the firm’s overall commitment to IP and life sciences, and the calibre of lawyers with whom we will be working.”
Perkins features in The International Who’s Who of Patent Lawyers, The International Who’s Who of Trademark Lawyers and The International Who’s Who of Life Sciences Lawyers.
