Arnold & Porter LLP has expanded its Europe competition practice with the hire of three new lawyers in its Brussels office including competition partner Annette Schild.
Arnold & Porter’s European competition practice works closely with the Washington, DC, office and other US cities to represent clients in a wide variety of complex and critical antitrust/competition matters including mergers and acquisitions, litigation, and criminal and civil government investigations.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Schild served as managing partner for the Brussels office of Shearman & Sterling LLP. She has 17 years of experience in private practice in Brussels, New York, and Washington, DC, and has a strong reputation in merger and acquisition transactions.
Some of her recent cases include the representation of Siemens in its acquisition of Austrian VA Tech and representing BASF in the takeover of Engelhard and in its acquisition of Degussa’s Construction Chemicals business.
Schild appears in The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers and Economists.
