DreamWorks Animation SKG has named its head of litigation and technology law Andrew Chang as its new general counsel based in Glendale, California.
He will replace Katherine Kendrick who has announced plans to leave the company when her contract expires at the end of 2009.
Chang, who has been with DreamWorks for seven years, commented, “It is truly an exciting time at DreamWorks Animation as the company grows and diversifies at an unprecedented rate. I welcome this new opportunity to serve in a greater capacity and look forward to working with the company’s deep bench of innovative and creative talent.”
Prior to joining DreamWorks Animation, Chang held the position of vice president of legal at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM), before which he was an associate at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP based in Los Angeles.
