Ian Ferguson, the former global head of communications, media and technology at Allen & Overy LLP has joined the London office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP as a sourcing and technology partner.
He served at the magic circle firm for over 25 years.
Ferguson has significant experience of outsourcing in the technology and telecoms sectors and has also advised on strategic investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, privatisations and regulation.
He has also acted for governments and investors worldwide on telecoms projects and transactions.
His client roster includes The Bank of New York Mellon, GN Store Nord, HBOS, Pfizer, Swisscom, Telenor and Unilever.
Commenting on his new firm, Ferguson says: “While many people view Pillsbury primarily as a US firm–which offers me multiple opportunities to work closely with Pillsbury sourcing, technology and telecoms partners in New York, Washington DC and California–they have a strong global reach with 36 per-cent of their work coming from international clients.” He continues, “ I’m delighted to be joining the firm in London, and to be a part of Pillsbury’s ongoing expansion.”
