She has a bachelor's in law and political science, cum laude probatus, from the Latin American University of Science and Technology in Panama (2001), a master's in information and law from the Complutense University of Madrid (2002) where she wrote her master's thesis "The Tax Reality of the Offshore International Centers and the Development of the Digital Economy". She took the executive programme focus on corporate law and management at IE Business School in Madrid (2002) and international studies focused in Latin America at Saint Edward's University, Austin, Texas, USA (1995–1997).
Mrs Medina began her career in Icaza, González-Ruiz & Alemán in 1998, being appointed as partner in 2013. She provides strong support in legal matters to a large number of clients as head of the immigration and naturalisation department. Also, she provides specialised professional services in procurement law, real estate and tourism developments. Furthermore, she has extensive experience in new technologies law, legal protection of data and software, computer contracts and banking systems.
She is a member of the Panama Bar Association. She speaks English and Spanish.
