Alice Moreira Franco is a partner of Ferro, Castro Neves, Daltro & Gomide Advogados (FCDG), a law firm established in 2005 by a group of renowned and highly experienced professionals who share the aspiration of offering their clients superior law services.
Alice distinguished herself in disputes related to corporate and civil law, as well as infrastructure and construction cases. Experienced lawyer with practice in court litigation and domestic and international arbitration, having participated in some of the most significant international arbitrations with a Brazilian party. Alice also assists clients in complying with the new Brazilian Data Protection Law (LGPD) and to prevent individual disputes (litigation and arbitration) and class actions dealing with undue use of data and privacy violation.
Alice is a current member of the special commission on data protection of the Brazilian Bar; the International Association of Privacy Professionals; the ICC Brazil commission on arbitration and mediation; and the commission on arbitration of the Regional Brazilian Bar (OAB/RJ). Alice is the president of a philanthropic institution named Fundação Darcy Vargas.
Alice holds an LLM from Harvard Law School and obtained her bachelor’s degree in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ).
Alice is registered before the Brazilian Bar and New York State Bar. She is fluent in English and Portuguese.
