Biography

Alberto Testi is a partner of the employment and industrial relations department of Grimaldi Studio Legale.

Alberto has an outstanding reputation in the management of in-court and out-of-court litigation relating to employment, trade unions and social security. He has accrued sound experience in procedures for the transfer of businesses, and the planning and implementation of restructuring processes. These include the reorganisation and downsizing of domestic companies and Italian subsidiaries of international groups. He has in-depth knowledge of trade union laws.

After earning his JD at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan in 1997, Alberto became a member of the Italian Bar Association in 2002. Since 2015, he has had the right of audience before the Italian Supreme Court.

He is an established lecturer at many conferences organised by Il Sole 24 Ore, Paradigma and Synergia.

He's member of the Employment Law Alliance and the Italian Employment Lawyers Association.

Alberto is the co-author of several books on employment law and trade union issues. The most recent are Crisi Aziendale e Rapporto di Lavoro ("Company Crises and the Employment Relationship") (collection of five books; Il Sole 24 Ore, 2018), which in June 2019 won the Best Book on Employment Law Award from the Labour Consultants Association of Milan; Diritto Sindacale – Le Relazioni Industriali dopo il Jobs Act ("Trade Union Law – Industrial Relations after the Jobs Act") (Il Sole 24 Ore, 2015); and Diritto Sindacale ("Trade Union Law and Industrial Relations") (Il Sole 24 Ore, fifth edition, 2012).
