Alberto Balderas Fernandez is a standout name when it comes to a range of banking, finance and fintech issues in both the US and Mexico.
Mr Balderas specialises in securities law, finance, project finance, asset securitisation, banks and banking, fintech, renewable energy, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, pension fund investments, pension plans, telecommunications law, corporate finance, and insurance and reinsurance. Mr Balderas has a broad experience in the banking, financial and capital markets sectors. He is an expert in complex structured finance transactions and issuance of securities in the Mexican and foreign markets of more than US$20 billion.
Mr Balderas has represented many cases in securities, banking and finance, payment systems, fintech, mergers and acquisitions, and insurance matters.
Mr Balderas is a member of the board of directors of Financial Entities, a member of the regulation committee of Fintech México, a lecturer on corporate governance and securities regulation at the Panamerican University and speaker on seminars about securities, fintech and renewable energy matters.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Panamerican University (2000) and graduated with a master’s in securities and financial regulation from the Law Center at Georgetown University in Washington, DC (2003).
